An electrocardiogram is a test that shows how the heart is beating. EKG are noninvasive and can reveal heart abnormalities. To begin the test, small electrodes are placed (using adhesive) on the chest and the arms. Thin wires are connected to these electrodes and to a computer. As the heart beats, medical staff watch the rhythm pattern and then print the image for interpretation.

This is a private appointment with Dr. Adkins to discuss problematic or potentially problematic diagnosis and/or treatment therapies. A consultation can help a future flyer understand the obstacles and disqualifiers, as well as, discuss a possible alternate path to reach their goal of flying. Ultimately, the decision to allow individual clearance falls in the hands of the FAA and it is a possibility that the FAA will not allow individual flying privileges. A consultation before investing in flight school or applying for a loan, can save time and money.
