Meet Dr. Adkins

Dr Stanley Adkins is a born and reared Hoosier from Northern Indiana who graduated early from the University of Indianapolis. He then attended Indiana University Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Methodist Hospital. Dr Adkins is a veteran of the Air Force and, after his service, he returned to Indiana to build his private medical practice. He served the public in private practice for over 50 years and earned accolades as State President and National Vice President of the American Heart Association. He has been a private pilot since 1999 and served as a Senior AME for the FAA for two decades. Dr Adkins enjoys flying a Piper PA32R and Cessna 152 when skies are blue. When on the ground, he enjoys walking with his best friend, Honey.

While retired from Primary Care, Dr Adkins continues to work with Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, and other Aviators to feed his passion of flying and to vicariously visit international locals. He enjoys the camaraderie found among likeminded aeronautical enthusiasts and he desires to keep pilots in the air. Dr Adkins wants to ensure the skies are safe and airlines are able to continue to transport across land and sea. His life has been devoted to taking care of others and he continues to serve the aviation community with his expertise.

Stanley Adkins, MD, Senior AME
